I met the ex earlier on. Just as i got out of the car from returning from dinner with the family, there he was, sitted on the steps of the clubhouse, waiting for me. Just like good old days. But no, don't get it wrong. The ex and me met up for a purpose. Mainly to return my phone. Yes, the phone that i had given him when he was first enlisted in camp. And the very same phone that he had kept for quite some time now.I guess you could say that; returning the phone was just an excuse to meet me. Well, perhaps. I wouldn't know, would i? But yes, after so long, the ex finally decided to meet me, and do some catching up. He's happily attached to the same girl he left me for. Well, good for you. I really am happy for you.
And as crazy as it may seem, i ain't angry with him anymore. I guess you sort of outgrow the feeling. And yes, i took my break up very maturely. He, on the other hand, was somewhat, nervous and scared of meeting me, after all these months. But hey babe, the meeting went on smoothly didn't it? I'm glad we were happily enjoying each other's company, just like old times.
I am contented; that another one of my break ups didn't turn sour. And i thank youu. Really. Well, the ex wanted to walk me back home but i declined. I guess i was harsh; but i really didn't want to take that walk on the carpet with him. And i guess he knew why.
That very same carpet, that very same walkway, was where we bid our farewell that very night before he got enlisted. That very same carpet; i shed tears for the very same guy. And yes, sometimes memories are good to be left as such.
And well, before i end it all, here's to the ex and his new beau. Congratulations. And to my gf, welcome back, bestie! I missed you so much. Xoxo.
